I learned how to sew a few years ago, when a sweet lady at my church taught me weekly lessons. When I first started, I didn't even know how to turn on my sewing machine! But within a few weeks, I was enjoying the fruits of my labor. Two sewing machines and an embroidery machine later, what began as a hobby grew into more of a small business as family and friends began to make "orders." I did this for a couple of years until my family began to grow. I don't have enough time in the current season of my life to take orders anymore, but I still enjoy sewing and making things as time allows. Thanks for visiting my blog!

aliyah's bag

aliyah's bag is similar to riley's bag with a few exceptions, one being the ribbon trim dividing the patterns. i couldn't find a brown and pink ribbon i liked, so i used a plain brown ribbon and used a fancy stitch and pink thread to decorate the ribbon. i really love how it turned out, and i'll have to do this more often!
