because of the different sized scraps, the inside of the bag is made up of 3 different coordinating fabrics. i put in a cell-phone pocket, 2 regular pockets, and 2 elastic pockets. the closure is a snap closure.

evan's diaper bag
this is one of my larger-sized diaper bags (16 x 19 or so) and...i actually used leftover scraps from other projects to make this bag, besides the interfacing. the leather straps were also given to me by a friend who wasn't going to use them. so...i'm proud to say that i basically spent under $10 or $15 to make this bag! besides the time spent making it, it really is a bargain.

diaper caddy
since we didn't want to crowd evan's room with a diaper changing table, we opted for a pad on the floor that can be pulled out from under the crib when needed. however, i needed something to hold all of the diapers, wipes, creams, lotions, on and on...so i went looking for something to do the job.
i fell in love with the diaper basket-caddies that pottery barn kids and other high-end stores make. they are perfect for diaper changes that occur in more than one location.
...but i didn't want to spend a bunch. so i decided to make my own!
i made a square fabric "basket" with two pockets on each side and a carrying strap, all without a pattern or a clue on how the finished product would turn out. but i am really, really happy with the end result!

team bags
both of these bags were gifts/orders, so i've been holding out on posting them until they were received.
this bag is for baby conner, a steelers fan in the making.
complete with a steelers-type font!
and i made a matching burp cloth to go with it:

and here is an FSU purse for a friend's birthday gift (looks like they're having a good season so far, too! go noles!)

my new bag for summer
time for a new bag....for myself. this one could easily work as a diaper bag since it's large (12x17).

sophie's bag
my sister just had a baby girl, sophie, and this is our gift to her...a custom diaper bag, in the fabrics she wanted. the fabric is a sage green and chocolate brown nursery rhyme toile, chocolate brown and white dots for the trim and the lining, and chocolate brown on the bottom.

madison's diaper bag
this is a smaller bag perfect for when you need to bring the necessities only. the inside has 3 bottle pockets and a cell phone pocket. the back of the bag shows more of the roses on the top fabric piece, but i needed lots of brown space on the front so the name would show up well.

tessa's purse
this purse is for a one-year-old who loves carrying her big sister's purse around! it's perfect for carrying around all the necessities a one-year-old needs: toys, a stuffed animal maybe, and...if she's like my kate....a cell phone already! :)

debbie's bag
this bag is for a very special person...debbie took hours of pictures for us the night that jonathan was born, as well as some great family and maternity pictures a few months ago. this bag is a small way of saying "thank you." debbie can be reached for all your photo needs at http://www.deborahhaussermannphotography.com/.
