new stuff

i have been wanting to make something for my mom, sort of like a "thank you" since she watches kate for me during the day when i have personal training clients. so...she picked out the material and this is what i came up with...

here is the inside with lining/pockets/snap closure. the lining is not perfect due to a measuring error...it's a little baggy... but hey, it's the inside where no one will see. the cell phone pocket is pleated, so it's supposed to look like that.

i also finished re-doing the dress for juliana. the ribbon had come out of the top so i did the elastic top instead of just threading ribbon all the way through. it's way more finished-looking this way too. the color is deep purple, but my camera didn't pick it up so well.

and darn it, for some reason, blogger is still spinning some of my pictures around! they don't look like this according to my hard drive!!!
