i am considering a name change for this blog. "the domestic diva" was originally a tongue-in-cheek name for it. now that i am getting a little bit of business, i think i would like the name to reflect a possible business name, in case it ever gets to that point. and since i am doing mainly kids' stuff (not just girls' stuff), it should probably reflect that as well.
for example, a name i liked but then found it was already trademarked: "ladybugs and lullabies".
and then two that greg and i came up with: "ladybugs and bumblebees"
and "butterflies and bumblebees".
what do you think? any suggestions?

My name is Lauren and I am a full-time wife and mother. In my spare time, I make things and post about them here.
I learned how to sew a few years ago, when a sweet lady at my church taught me weekly lessons. When I first started, I didn't even know how to turn on my sewing machine! But within a few weeks, I was enjoying the fruits of my labor. Two sewing machines and an embroidery machine later, what began as a hobby grew into more of a small business as family and friends began to make "orders." I did this for a couple of years until my family began to grow. I don't have enough time in the current season of my life to take orders anymore, but I still enjoy sewing and making things as time allows. Thanks for visiting my blog!

Love the new blog look and the new sewing room. I'm transition OUT of my sewing room to make room for Tyler.
Anyway, what about something like "katydid" in the name? A play on Kate's name, but also a boyish bug...
Something like Katydids and butterfiles.
BTW, before I wikipedia'd "Katydid" I had no idea it was a grosshopper. At least it's not a roach as I was worried it might be before checking LOL.

what about...you know the nursery rhyme...little girls are made of sugar and spice...little boys are made of snips and snails...
You could call it sugar and snails or something like that!
I googled sugar and snails and I saw a few blogspot names like that...you could maybe do snips and spice. Just some ideas.
