cherries and polka-dots

i decided to try out a new pattern last night: the "round-neck" top/dress from thatdarncat. it's a really cute look and way more complex than the pillowcase dress. just the cutting alone of all the fabric took some time. my pattern was for size 2T and up...i tried to modify it to a smaller size and wound up going too small for my kate. i still put it on her and took some pictures anyway. on kate, it looks like a 1960's style dress when instead it should be more a-line and roomy. so...it's going to baby-on-the-way jenna. and i'll just make another one for kate, this time sticking to the proper measurements!
