I learned how to sew a few years ago, when a sweet lady at my church taught me weekly lessons. When I first started, I didn't even know how to turn on my sewing machine! But within a few weeks, I was enjoying the fruits of my labor. Two sewing machines and an embroidery machine later, what began as a hobby grew into more of a small business as family and friends began to make "orders." I did this for a couple of years until my family began to grow. I don't have enough time in the current season of my life to take orders anymore, but I still enjoy sewing and making things as time allows. Thanks for visiting my blog!

vintage for babies

here's the latest top i've made using the "that darn cat" pattern for the round-neck top. i can't take credit for the fabric selection, but i'll say that i liked it so much i copied it from an order and made one for kate too. i'll be making more of these in the future, although they take much longer to make than the pillowcase style tops/dresses.
