blueeyedbaby designs: kate's new dress

I learned how to sew a few years ago, when a sweet lady at my church taught me weekly lessons. When I first started, I didn't even know how to turn on my sewing machine! But within a few weeks, I was enjoying the fruits of my labor. Two sewing machines and an embroidery machine later, what began as a hobby grew into more of a small business as family and friends began to make "orders." I did this for a couple of years until my family began to grow. I don't have enough time in the current season of my life to take orders anymore, but I still enjoy sewing and making things as time allows. Thanks for visiting my blog!

kate's new dress

a friend of mine who also sews, gave me this leftover fabric to make a dress for kate. it was perfect timing since kate desperately needs some new winter clothes. this fabric is heavier and looks great layered with a long sleeve shirt. i used the round-neck dress pattern that i love so much.
