i've lived in my house for 3 years now, and i'm finally getting around to putting up some curtains! we have blinds in all of the windows, but i knew that it was time to make my own curtains or roman shades. since it was my first attempt and in case i made a mistake, i started with the window in the master bath, so it would not be so obvious. i used the McCall's M4802 pattern, view C (easy living shade.) it said it would only take 90 minutes. (HA!)
it is a true roman shade, with cords and rings attached to a wooden board, so you can actually raise it and lower it. as complex as it wound up being, i truly love the look of these shades. it really adds the bathroom decor. i may use this pattern again for shades for our office/extra bedroom.
here's the before and after shots:

Great job~ That looks amazing over your tub. Thanks for all the embroidery recommendations! I am shopping around~
You are so talented! I am continually impressed by your crafting/sewing/embroidery. Do you have a price list for your items you're selling or will make to sell? I'm seeing some gift possibilities for sure!
